virtual pioneers:
the original IOL online volunteers

More than 20 online volunteers helped launch the original Impact Online Web site back in 1994 (around the time of .9 beta of the Netscape browser) or helped further develop and maintain IOL's Web site and other activities through 1996. They were truly online pioneers, and IOL owes a great deal of its success to them. Many of these volunteers also contributed information about their online experiences to help in the development of materials for the Virtual Volunteering Project.
